Dr. Pavel Loskot is a seasoned researcher and academic with nearly 30 years of experience in the design, analysis, implementation, and deployment of telecommunication systems, gained through extensive involvement in academic-industry collaborative projects and consultancy contracts. He possesses expert-level proficiency in digital and statistical signal processing, underpinned by a strong foundation in applied probability and statistics. A long-time Linux programmer and user since 1996, Dr. Loskot has continuously engaged with computational tools to advance both theoretical and applied research. His multidisciplinary journey led him into computational molecular biology during his tenure as a Visiting Researcher at the China Supercomputing Research Center (CSRC), Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics in 2014–2015. Earlier, between 1999 and 2001, he served as a Research Scientist and Project Manager at the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) in Oulu, Finland. His research explores the interface between mathematics and engineering, aiming to bridge abstract mathematical concepts—such as algebraic structures, geometric models, and formal objects—with practical engineering applications. His expertise includes mathematical modeling of complex systems involving probabilistic frameworks, dynamic systems, random processes, and multivariate time series, with applications spanning biochemical reaction networks and meta-research on scientific methodology, particularly the identification of universal patterns across engineering disciplines. As an educator, Dr. Loskot teaches core computer engineering courses, with a pedagogical philosophy centered on conveying fundamental principles that sustain and evolve into state-of-the-art (SOTA) technologies. Dr. Loskot is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), UK, and a Recognised Research Supervisor certified by the UK Council for Graduate Education. A Senior Member of the IEEE since 2013, he was recently honored as an IARIA Fellow in December 2025, recognizing his sustained contributions to research and education across interdisciplinary domains.
