Dr. Laura Celentano is an Associate Professor of Automation and Control at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. She teaches courses in systems theory and advanced control. She is an IEEE Senior Member and Full Member in the scientific honor Society Sigma Xi, actively involved in several editorial boards including IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, and IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. Dr. Celentano has authored five scientific and educational books, chaired and organized international conference sessions, and is the representative recipient of the 5th Kimura Best Paper Award. Her main research interests and activities concern the control methodologies for mechatronic and transportation systems, modeling and control of rigid and flexible structures, new design techniques for robust industrial controllers, robust prescribed-time practical stability and stabilization of engineering systems. Dr. Celentano has long-standing didactic, research, and professional experience in mechatronic, transportation, and technological fields.
