Christoph Parhofer (*1993 in Munich) is a German-Canadian engineer specializing in medical and rescue robotics. He studied Mechanical Engineering in Erlangen and Cádiz During international stays, internships, and thesis work with BMW, he gained insights into the development and production processes across several industries.
During his doctoral research, he acquired medical foundations at the University Hospital of Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) Munich. In 2021, he joined the Technical University of Munich (TUM) at the Chair of Micro Technology and Medical Device Technology, where he worked as a project lead on robotic systems for healthcare. After a research stay at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, he has led the Rescue Robotics research group since 2024. His work focuses on robotic modules designed to support paramedics and increase emergency medical capacity in crisis situations.
