Zeyang Xia is a Tenured Full Professor with School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include robotics and biomechanics, specifically medical robotics, soft robotics, humanoid robotics, and computational biomechanics. He serves/served as PI of about 30 research grants, including the Key Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China and National Key R&D Program. He has published two research monographs, over 130 peer-reviewed papers, and been granted over 50 patents including U.S. patents, some of which have been transferred to industry. Prof. Xia was awarded with Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award (Natural Science) in 2017 for his research on robotics for precision orthodontics, and Xiong Youlun Excellent Young Scholars Award in 2019, SIAT Education Pioneer Award in 2022. He serves/served as the editorial board members of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, Robot, SmartBot, and the General Chair of 2019 IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics and leading committee member of several international robotics conferences. He is a Senior Member of IEEE/CIE/CAA, a Distinguished Member of CCF, and a Fellow of IET.  (Photo attached)
